Are you embarrassed to cry in front of others?

and after dat i never do it.i can cry hiden but never in front of others. coz i ma man dude and real man never cries

it cannot be prevented that you cry in front of others..me, i am not shy to show my emotions because it is really what I feel and I am just honest with myself. I believe that a person's bravery is not measured by how many people he has defeated but by how many drops of tears that has fallen from his eyes.. because for me, tears are a measure of strength. You accept that you are hurt and that you are not afraid to show it

I never feel embarras to cry in front of others,espcially when i really really feel hurt. I remember that i cried in front of our guidance counsellor because of my one teacher who really made me so upset. And also when i get angry, i cry and keep shouting!cheers!

No. The last time I cried is when my father died. Apart from that I never cried in public or private. I feel sad at times, but get over it by indulging in other activities.

No, I am not embarassed to cry in front of others if there is a valid reason for doing so. I mean, crying is a part of our complex emotions inherent in every individual just like laughter and anger. So why feel embarassed about it?

Having said that, I am not the type who would easily cry over spilled milk. I have undergone some serious stuff when I was a kid that I am able to sift situations that come my way and respond properly to each and every situation as opposed to the rest. But when I do cry, it leaves a good feeling in me knowing that this emotion is just temporary and will soon be replaced by another emotion, the emotion of laughter which will certainly bring a smile to my face. I hate crying, I long ago learned to control that aspect of my life, I know that others say that supressing it is no good but neither is being blocked up and swollen through crying!

It is very rare that I cry, but if for any reason I do I just go into the bathroom or hide it. Its not that I feel uncomfortable about crying in front of others, I just hate crying full stop.

When I cry out of joy I don't care if people see me or not. Its my moment and I'm happy and proud of it. When I cry because I am physically hurt then I suppose I'd cry on an appropriate place and on an appropriate time. But when I cry because I am sad or emotionally in pain then and only then do I cry where no one can see me. I know by experience that I get sad and cry when I see someone close to me crying out of sadness, so with that lesson learned I only cry out of sadness when I am alone. Some may say that its not healthy but I'm not holding my emotions at bay long enough for it to be a problems for me. Its not that I'm ashamed or weak that I don't cry in front of others when its a result of sadness or emotional pain, its because I know they will be sad and cry with me and its something that I want to avoid. I suppose the bottom line here is don't want others to cry because of me.

Yes, if I'm very sad or hurting I don't like crying in front of another. If I am happy and laughing so much that I cry that is different. It just makes me laugh a little more. I usually go to my room and cry, if I'm in the car or around someone and can't get to another room, I turn my head where they can't see my face. If they ask what's wrong? I usually say, oh nothing. Unless I really need to talk about what's bothering me.

I consider myself a 'tough' person at heart but I cannot stop tears flowing my ears when situation is overwhelming, sad or exciting. Even when I was watching the prize presentation during the recent olympic games, the moment the country's national anthem was being played my tears started flowing out for no apparent reasons. I am of course embarrassed that someone might notice my red eyes but I pretend that insects has gone into my eyes if ever someone notice it. I am also sensitive to hearing other people crying during funeral as it will automatically transmit to me.
