How comfortable are you online?  | |  When someone says, "ASL please?" how comfortable are you in typing the exact details asked?
I'm one of those paranoid people who feel, well, paranoid about telling others even just the country I'm hailing from, so while I do actively chat with online friends more often than not, it is with an explicit disclaimer that the only thing I can really say about myself is my country-location and maybe gender. Age is hardly an open topic, and a name, even a nickname is almost impossible to pry from me (I prefer being called whatever username onlne friend knew me as).
So, how about you? How comfortable are you in giving real information about yourself to people (even accumulated friends) you've only met online? I know there are those who have no qualms writing their whole names when introducing themselves. Are you more like them or (paranoid, heh) like me?

After chatting for a while with someone I didn't know before, I become a little less vigilant in keeping information about myself, though I do make it appoint to still keep my name and location a tight-lip secret. I have no problems stating my opinion on whatever subjects we might talk about, but more often than not, the closest I can say about my name is a nickname not derived from my real one.
