 My 16 year old son has a new girlfriend. He phoned me today to ask my advice on a sexual matter.He has noticed that every time they have sex,as soon as its over,his girlfriend heads for the bathroom.He says its most unromantic.I couldnt offer any advice,cos its not a thing thats ever happened to me.Is this like a common practice.He is just miffed as he says its a bit of a passion killer.What do you think.Please advise.

First of all I do try not to run to the bathroom immediately as it is, indeed, a wee bit unromantic. However, sadly, female anatomy is a bit annoying. For some of us, if you don't go pee soon afterwards, there is the risk of a bladder infection (due to the large instrument that was inserted pushing bacteria upwards). And bladder infections are excruciating.
So the best way to handle it, I think, is to snuggle for a wee bit, go and do your business, and come back and snuggle some more.
And explain it to him too. After all, if she has an infection and she's not letting him do anything because she's in pain, that's pretty darn unromantic too!
