I am nervous about tommorrow.

I have hypothyroidism, but I can't afford a doctor, or the medication. There is lots of information available, on the net, and there are support groups. Do a google search, on hypothyroidism. (Be sure you look at HYPOthyroidism and not hyperthyroidism, they're exact opposites.)

Symptoms include:
Severe fatigue, loss of energy, persistent sleepiness
Weight gain, difficulty losing weight
Depressed mood
Joint and muscle pain
Dry skin, brittle nails and hair, thinning hair
Irregular periods
Cold intolerance (you get cold easily)
Fuzzy thinking or difficulty concentrating
Loss of libido
Puffiness in the face or extremities

I wish I'd known about this sooner, and that I could copy and paste URL's and information in here. You wouldn't get the results from the tests back right away, so I hope you'll do the google search I suggested. I'm going to try to type a URL into here, I think you would find particularly interesting. I hope I get it right, as it's rather long.

I do not know how a blood word is done... but i will surely feel the same way if i have to undergo one myself... just keep strong... and hope for the best... at least this will shed light on a lot of your unanswered questions regarding your health... and ultimately find a solution for each of them...

Hi Shaunee. Nothing to worry about. Unless you have the doctor my wife had. This little guy had some amazing twitches and fussing around like a 5 year old with ADHD. This guy seemed to have some serious ants in the pants.

He had to do a needle biopsy into the thyroid gland. The needle he used looked smaller than your Rebif needles. It was absolutely amazing to watch the "twitch-a-matic" man smooth right out to do the biopsy. The after taking the needle away from her throat (That's where the gland is)he was right back at it. I would have never believed this guy is a surgeon.

Anyway, the biopsy is quick and easy. There is a little pill that will give the thyroid a kick and increase it's activity again.

There is also some chinese herbs which are thyroid specialists. If you live near an active china town, you should be able to find some stuff to fix your throat up.

Watch out for chinese herbs that strengthen the immune system though. I usewd to drink buckets of chinese green tea. I may have given the MS a jump by accident.

Anyway, don't worry about the doctor.

I have low thyroid on medication that I will probably be on for the rest of my life. When my thyroid is not working properly I get very cold.

I hope that's nothing serious Shaun. Me i also want to check my thyroid because my neck is kinda fat. They are making fun of me like when I won over a lottery they advice me to liposuction my neck...I will pray for you Shaun.

Hey we just put on weight a bit more easily and find it just a bit more difficult to lose it. I am not sure if you have what is called Homeopathy treatment out there. It is well tested in India. It works, though takes a bit long, but it does. It worked on my friend in 3 years time and she really lost weight, good loss. And Homeopathy has a kind of permanant effect.

hm yah, that is one symptom of having thyroid problem...i have a hypothyroidism another reason why just before i was taking my chemo i was losing my hair tremendously...i hope the results will turn out clear friend...take care always...

shaun dont be nervous,as if you have thyroid trouble your
'doctor will put you on medications to regulate it and make
you feel well again. so no major problems to worry about there.
Just ask all the questions you have with your doctor so your
mind will be put at ease. then you will be just fine.
