Age problem--for math enthusiast

I always loved math problems.
Mario's age after 10 yrs: 24
Jay's age after 10 yrs: 36

I hope am right

x= Jay's current age
y= Mario's current age

Jay is twelve years older than Mario=> x= 12 + y
Mario's age 2 years from now=> y + 2
Jay's age 6 years from now=> x + 6
So if Mario's age 2 years from now is half Jay's age 6 years from now=> y + 2= (x + 6)/2

after doing the math, you get that Jay is 26 years old and Mario is 14 years old at this time. So, ten years from now, Jay will be 36 and Mario 24.
