what makes you to respond to a discussion

I like to check the ones with no responses, and the ones under my interests.

What I respond to on any given day depends on my mood. Some mornings I look for something silly, some days it is serious discussions. It doesn't matter whether it has many or few responses. If it interests me, if I feel I have something to add, I will do so. Yesterday I responded to a discussion that had 124 responses. I read every one of them and rated the entire discussion. Like I said, it just kind of depends on my mood at the moment I am on line.

What makes me respond to a discussion is the story it self, I read what the person has said if it catches my attention, I will respond to it, I like interesting discussion to catch my eye, and pull me in and hold my attention to what they have to say.

I do it of 3 reasons.

1. I need money.
2. It is fun seeing all those discussions.
3. this is the first site ever that might end up paying me to my paypal:D

I usually just look at the different topics as they go across the top of the page, then respond to the ones that look interesting. It is usually the topic of the discussion that gets my attention. If the discussion is something I care about, or something I am interested in, I will respond. Other times, I will post something funny if it comes to mind when I am reading the discussion.

1. I make sure its of my interest.
2. If its in the recent/top discussions.

I respond to discussions that interest me and I have an opinion about. Sometimes I read more than responding just trying to find things that spark my interest or that I can feel I can respond to. Somedays I just can't find anything or maybe just not in the mood. Most time I check out first what my friends have started and try to respond there and then next to the new and recent catagories. Sometimes I will go to the no responses tab to check that out as well. I know there have been discussions I have started and no one has responded and it can be a bit dissapointing so I try to help out there as well.

yeah i will also say depends on the mood,but one thing i like duuno why is if people have a picture, it just appeal a little more to me to be able to see the person,but its not a must:D

hmm, like you, at first, I'll look discussions under todays top, and then to friends' discussion and to my interest. Usually, I respond to discussion which is quite catchy and really interesting topics as well as I can relate to it.

I enjoy responding to certain discussions that have to do with philosophical topics such as life and love perhaps. When it comes to parenting or children I also am drawn to those types of issues.
Sometimes I have a hard time when I am scanning the posts to find an interest that jumps out at me.
