Have you ever burned something...?

oh sure, I think it happens to everyone. Just this morning I was fixing my daughter breakfast. And my toaster waffle got a little more done than I would like. I don't think I'd be able to eat the rice with the smoky smell. While I hate to waste food, it would be trashed.

I have burnt boiling water I was boiling water, and forgot that I was boiling it. All of the water evaporated out of the pan, and the pan started burning. I did not smell anything, I guess because there was nothing in the pot. The pot burned so bad and became so hot that the handle was warped.
I guess that is where "I can't even boil water" comes from

I have done this before trying to do something else while cooking. If I come to the computer while cooking I forget that I have started something on the stove sometimes and it gets burnt. I have learned that when I cook bacon I just need to stay in the kitchen and pay attention, if not I will surely burn it as I have many times in the past.

Yeah from time to time. I actually slightly burnt some garlic bread last night. I had it on the grill and the top of it got slightly burnt. It tasted pretty good though. I dont think anybody minded. It was really pretty tasty. I would not repeat it however. I do love my garlic bread. I burn popcorn from time to time also.

I burn things alot! Especially when my boyfriend comes over and he's trying to talk to me (when he says something shocking to where i have to stop what I'm doing and lecture him) lol. I try cooking too many things at once...like tacos
I have to cook the meat and the rice, and frejoles (beans), and make the torillas.
So I need to learn to either ask for help or do a little less but in more time instead of doing more in less time lol.

I am a burning princess,everytime i cook rice or something i burned it, i remember how i burn our expensive pot and it takes a week for me to clean it and so bad it needs redemptions, because of it my husband decided to buy me a rice cooker ahhaha he afraid im going to burn another pots.happy myloting!

well, there is a product called "Smoke" that comes in a bottle.
you could have pretended this was a new way to season.
i think it's for grilling?

The worst thing that I have ever burned was homemade chicken and noodles. I had spent the better part of the day making them and left them on the fire for just a few minutes. They were in a big metal stock pot. All the noodles were burnt on the bottom. It smelled absolutly awful. I had to throw them all out.

Yes I have burned dinner before I will forget something is on the stove and the pot will boil dry and then the food will burn. It is really easy to burn cooked carrots when you are boiling carrots in water you have to keep adding water as it seems to evaporate and I have forgot to check them before and they boiled dry and burned the carrots.

I quite often forget my cooking stuff when I am in front of computer. I usually burn meat:)
Once, when I was pouring hot water out of the kettle while watching a funny movie, I burnt my hand, instead of pouring the water into the glass. It was horrible, ubrearable pain.
Now, I am much more careful when I use hot water.
However, I still forget about my cooking when I am busy with computer:)
