Some people are useless

Sadly, it is very true that there are people in our world that are completely useless. They are also unreliable and unhelpful. The saddest part of this is it as you have observed..........somebody or some animal will suffer because of these useless individuals. Very sad.

Perhaps I'm a trouble maker, but I think that after that kind of reaction from a park warden, I think I would report what happened. That is no way to treat a swan or a person. Both of you deserved better.

This makes me so angry. As you say, why employ a non-English speaker in this capacity. I don't believe what the government says about British people not wanting these jobs. I have a strong suspicion that the councils actually get subsidies to employ these people.
I hope the swan did manage to free itself or someone managed to help it. Surely part of a decent park wardens job would be to look out for fishing lines and remove them before they can harm any wildlife.

Don't worry, I saw your point perfectly. That he spoke Polish was simply a description in order to paint a picture of what was happening, and had nothing to do with the man himself. He sounds like he would have been an a-hole no matter what language he spoke, or even if his English was perfect. I agree with your question, though. People who are going to be employed in another country, really need to learn the language.

well i worked witht h game wardens in texas for many years and to be honest that is part of his job. you should report him. no one needs that type of person employeed for that type of job. park ranger, wardens, and any type of wildlife employee is suppose to be there for the people, animals, and enviroment. he vilolated all 3 in this sitution. people like him are the reason why things just get worse and not better. report him please. also keep in mind when you are doing this that point you brought up by the line still being there it is another creature that will find it. we lose so many of our natural reasources each day and this is not just a reasource but a life.

The situation you just described, crispeater, is not only common in your hometown. Things like this are happening all over the world on a daily basis, sadly. It is a symptom of the sickness in our society that is rampant. People don't care about others and certainly not about most animals. I also feel that if someone is living in your country they should be willing to learn to speak the language.

i am an immigrant myself and i actually agree with you. i am married to a canadian but i know that if i were to live in this country i have to be able to speak english because if i can't say what i mean how can i mean what i say? i mean i don't know big words or rarely used words but i have to know enough to understand and respond to others. i actually don't see any reason why non english speaker is allowed to live in an english speaking country even though they have a family there already, let alone get a job that requires a lot of communication. if i were you i would report this person to city hall or whoever employs him, he may not be animal lover or doesn't know what to do, but it seems he doesn't even bother to try to help so what is he there for anyway?

I don't like people that don't do their job, just wasting every ones time. All they are waiting on is a pay check. Evidently he and the person he was talking to were making a joke out of it. Even if the park warden couldn't help he could have notified animal control. It makes you wonder if it had been a child would he tried to help.

there are too many people are who are useless and hopeless. hoping that there are laws to monitor about any animals in distress and they should monitor inorder for us to know if it is endanger or not.
