Google CCleaner. I am not an affiliate for it or anything; but I know it works on the poor Windows systems that get seriously bogged down after a while. You can remove and clean the unwanted cookies and cache and remove unwanted programs that are "un-removable".

You can delete cookies and clear your browsing history, delete any unused programs, check for updates, also restart your pc. Good luck I know it can be very annoying when your pc is slow.

if you want to get better performance of your computer without update it configuration, you can optimize it. i use tune up utilities for that purpose. it's reliable enough and have a great feature to get your computer's best performance. it can clean and delete unused files, cookies, registry, etc, defrag it, and manage a scheduled maintenance to your computer.

It is nothing to worry about & will not harm your pc..
So if you dont like that type of thing turn away from screen during test.

I'm no computer whiz, but I know a thing. (That's a joke I hear from my hubby all the time.)

Is your computer slower than it used to be? It could be something running 'in the background' as my husband puts it, like spyware. He couldn't help you without seeing the computer, though.

Have you rebooted your computer recently? Every now and then, mine runs really slow. It's maddening!!! I reboot and it solves the problem even if it is only temporary. My husband says it's probably what I said above, but he hasn't had a chance to look at it yet because he's been on a "work-a-thon" for the past 3 days.

This may have absolutely nothing to do with it's speed or not, but have you cleaned the dust out of it recently? That'll make the processor run hot because the fan can't cool it down sufficiently. Good to know even if it's not your problem.

What's your computer's specification?
Processor, hardisk, RAM, and graphic card. If it happens that you do not know what I'm telling you. Right-click MY Computer and then select properties. On the General tab, spec of your computer will be shown.

Is it running in good condition before? When did you encounter the problem?
If your specs are ok, maybe there is some virus or spyware present on your system.

here you go buddy

1. clear and defrag registry
2. scan PC to find and remove virus if any!
3. after scan PC shutdown your virus scanner and see if there is improvement in speed, if there is then you antivirus software is reducing performacing of pc (it happens at a times)
4. if this dosent improve performance then

---

1. increase memory
2. what processor you have? may be that you are running latest softwares with older processor and that decrease performance.
