 When do you start preparing for Christmas? My daughter's birthday is at the end of August, so I start trying to find Christmas gift ideas and putting in layaways around the first of September. IF not, we start saving money the first of September and then go out shopping on Black Friday! The day after Tthanksgiving!

1.  palonghorn (3007) | 3 months ago |  Last year was the first time I had gone shopping on Black Friday, me and my oldest daughter went out, started at midnight lol. We found some good bargains and we had a great time. I normally don't really start getting in the Christmas mood til Thanksgiving dinner is over and done. Then I'm ready to bring out the decorations and start the Christmas shopping. I do a little before that if I find a good deal on something I wanted to get a particular person on my list.

I'm excited about it, I love Christmas but it can be a financial strain. I'm hoping by buying early and spreading the cost out this year it will make things less stressful.
