Advice and Tips on How to be an Effective Music Promoter  | |  Hello everyone! Thanks for reading this post.I am starting out as a new Music Promoter.I Know of numerous bands that i can get to perform at different venues.Is it best to book a band with a gurantee or do a door split deal? Or both? Do I book the bands at local bars,or do I rent a venue and sell tickets? Thank you for reading this post,and any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated.

Taking the door is a gamble, because you never know how many folks are going to show up at a venue. After the band's played there once or twice, people might come back just to see them, so taking the door might be a better risk. And you're also risking the same if you rent a venue--you never know what the attendance will be.
