If your house is on fire, what would be the first thing you will grab?

My husband would be number one. Second would be my dog. I couldn't bare to take anything materialistic. I would have to grab my hubby, he is more important than any item in my house. He is worth more than any item. He's priceless.

If possible I will try to save important things,like money,important papers,jewelery etc.... ,But if it is not possible,then I have to run outside.I will try to save my house.At first if no fire protection available,I would try to arrange few buckets of boiling water.Boiling water can easily put off the fire.So,I would try to arrange it,and then throw it to the desired place.And I will call the fire brigade for help.

hmmm as i was reading your post i keep on thinking what to answer. And i just cant think on what to grab first. So i have settled with this answer. Maybe ill just run outside. Life is more precious than worldly goods. which you can easily replace anytime, unlike life. And come to think of it when you are really in this kind of emergency, you wouldnt think of anything else except to get out fast and try to grab anything that you can grab.

i have even heard of a story, wherein a house was on fire, then the lady of the house, which turn out to be a small and petite lady at that....actually carried their refrigerator outside....then when the fire was put out and she tried to carry the ref again...she cant because it is to heavy. Talking about adrenaline rush!

Okay i was thinking about this the other day, thinking if i could save only one thing what would it be. I looked around at all that i have and i have to say i would try to save as many of my books as possible. I can do without a tv, computer, and what not, but i have to have my books.

the first one would be my baby, my husband, my bag that includes my mobile phone inside, and our very important papers/documents like marriage contract,birth certificate etc.

I would grab my wife, then her clothes and a warm blanket to keep her comfortable.

Hi peach, if this unlucky fortune were to happen on me one day, I think the first thing I will probably grab and escape from my house which is on fire will be my wallet.

I have all my important cards like ID card, credit cards, ATM cards and driver license etc in it. I believe I still could survive nicely and could buy what I need if I don’t lose any cards which I could get money using them Besides I don’t have to take the trouble and spend extra time to renew my ID card and driver license as well.
