You can make everything a learning experience for him. He can learn things when he is outside helping his dad with chores and riding on the tractor. You can teach him things about nature. Teach him about flowers and how they grow. What makes it rain. Science type things are easy to teach them while they are outside playing and they don't even realize they are learning.

While he is outside working with his dad, he is learning. The emphasis does not all have to be on counting, letters, and that sort of thing. If he is helping put things away or stack things, he is learning how to classify- a math skill- things and identify what category they belong to and where they belong. He is learning how to arrange things so they stay put and don't fall. He is learning how to make them fit into a space.

If he is gardening, he is learning how things grow and how to care for plants. Riding on the tractor teaches him cause and effect. When Daddy turns the steering wheel, the tractor turns. When he pushes the foot pedal, the tractor stops. You don't have to talk to him about it for him to learn these things. It's nice to talk about it since that can get him thinking and help his language skills- give names to things for him.

The important thing here is to make it natural and don't push a lesson on him at every turn. Doing that could cause him to hate learning. Just take opportunities that arise to learn new things, but don't push the issue if he is not interested. What is most important to teach him now is to Love Learning, and to seek information. That will help him in his education because he will get actively involved.
