Probably I won't buy anything from Ebay any more

It's really something you can't blame ebay for. You have to keep in mind that the person selling you the item is not ebay. In the future only agree to verified trackable shipping and only deal with people who have a good rating and a lot of confirmed sales behind their name.

I used to sell on eBay but left because of their unfair policies and high fees. However, eBay does care about the time and costs sellers extend to the buyers.

Since 9/11, customs is the primary reason for items taking so long. I shipped a beautiful Burberry handbag to Canada and it took almost 4 weeks for the buyer to get it shipped from the USA. I don't ship to Canada any longer not do I ship to Mayalsia because I was defrauded of a $900 Gucci handbag and there is nothing I can do. The post office maintains the bag was delivered to the Mayalasian postal office and therefore, the insurance does not pay.

Even a seller cannot control international shipping and that is why I no longer ship outside the USA. Please try to be patient as your package has probably been detained in Customs for a while.

The first thing is...don't blame eBay. They are not the problem, the seller is. You need to look at the feedback percentage. If it is under 99%, I do not buy from them. Look under their name and you can see the feedback left by others. That will give you a sense of what they are like as sellers. If you contact eBay, they will try to resolve the issue with the seller or you will receive a refund. I have had 2 different experiences with having to go to eBay and both were resolved with refunds. They are there to help with these problems. Also, look into the help section. They give you a lot of helpful info. on buying and selling online. That may help too.

You know for such kind of items, it's not possible to send it by express like DHL, Fedex etc. It's quite expensive, although I can track it. It's sad that I may not meet a trustworthy seller.

I think the freight bill depends on the seller. The seller charges me about 3 dollars and actually I think it's a bit higher.

All of us begin at zero. I started of with zero also. But nowadays there are many with zero who are joybidders so a seller, I will just cancel the bid of those who are zero or those who are zero have to contact me first before placing bid. That is why buyers have to read the listing instructions in the item.

I agree. Even before when I was actively shopping on ebay, sellers are pretty strict with joybidders, because they really are a waste of time. My first bid, I have to send a message to the seller that I am serious about bidding on her item. That time I didn't understand why I have to do it, but I guess I was really interested in the item that I just did it.

Is the reputation of buyers and sellers not the same thing? Or if you have a good reputation as a buyer you would be taken seriously as a seller as well?

Is the income from selling in ebay stable or is it only seasonal? I'm planning on selling on ebay as well, but I just can't make up my mind if it would be a good investment of time and money...

Hey swirlz....to start off it would be quite slow but it also depends on what you are selling. My first ebay item sold off was a zebra brand pot. I looked around my house for things I don't use anymore and started listing them up.And then as time goes by my husband and I also went to pick up stuff from friends who wants to clear their stuff. Some friends who are moving house or moving away to another state, also gave us their things at zero cost. So we sold them in ebay. I don't only depend on ebay alone for my income. I am also a music teacher (I teach from home)and a tupperware star consultant. So there are multilple streams of income coming in. Well you can say the selling in ebay is also seasonal also. Because at one time I sold off alot of storybook, then after that it was bags then it was keychains and then puppets...etc. Now my account is at rest. Nobody bidding anything. I like to work from home(sheltered from rain and strong wind and hot sun). And the courier man will come to my house to pick the items to be sent and then deliver it to the doorstep of the buyer. In the past I tried to sell on Ebay. However, later I knew that I had to pay for it even if nothing was sold. I didn't like it. So right now I am selling from Taobao which is a popular selling and buying website in China. It won't charge me anything and it's simple and easy. The service is also good.

The seller told he sent the stamps two days after I paid for it. So it's quite strange I didn't receive the stamps until now. And I don't think there will be a way to track it since it was sent by normal mail. In fact I often receive mails and packages from UK and USA from my friends and it's no problem at all. This is why I have a big doubt to the seller.

The seller's reputation is good, this is why finally I decided to buy from there. My reputation is zero since it's my first time to buy from Ebay. So that's terrible for me.

But this time it's a very long term delay. I still receive my packages and mails from UK and it's no problem at all... I wonder how you spend your money in your Paypal account. You know we can't withdraw it since it will charge so high.

I have only used six dollars earned online from pickjack to invest the dollars that I once talked to you about. The six dollars have now been generated to be close 17 dollars. Now I have already reached the minimum of taking it out to my paypal account, but I don't want to take it out. I click to reinvest every day to make it expand with more interest a day.
