Help me! My DVD Drive cannot burn DVD

I think you need to install the DVD writer Software for your system. Nero 6 and above will work for dvd writing. Try out it might help you. you said you formatted your system might be that software got erased while formatting. Try installing dvd writer software and then burning the dvd.

the burner you mentioned is compatible to all dvd kind and so only thing i suspect is the burner software. which software you are using to burn cd/ dvd? is it compitable to burn dvds?

if no - then get the software, i suggest nero 8.0
if yes - then check the speed of dvd you are using. is it supported by burner?

if you still have problem call some engineer.

Well if you frequently format you hard drive then it might be that you have forgotten to reinstall the driver that runs your dvd writer. If you reformat you Hard Drive then you need to reinstall your OS then after that you have to install you Motherboards drivers then reinstall your other peripherals like you DVD RW drivers. Try reinstalling the installer of that DVD of yours. If not maybe you couldlook for it and download it in the internet I am pretty sure there are drivers out there that is compatible with your Hardware.

Like the guys have said, as you've reformatted your HDD, you need to update your drivers as well as your burner software. Nero is a good software but make sure it's a version that has DVD burning capabilities

there must be problem in ur dvd writer .. please check from that shop keeper from where you buyed .. it or there must be problem in the software ...
