Friend requests

I agree with you, it's nice to hear different peoples perspectives! and i don't mind people asking to be mt friend, i usually accept, i just wonder what made them choose to ask me to be a friend when some of them haven't even seen what i have been up to, and haven't even got involved here at mylot (some of them have a zero next to their name!!) You're right it is all part of the fun though!! I'll send you a friend request! thanks for the response! xxx

I consider myself very ucky to have the friends that i do, and i think it's nice that so many people want to be my friend, but i wonder why when they seem not to know anything about me, they haven't come across me in any discussion etc, nor have some of them made any postings at all here at mylot, so i wonder what has made them want to ask to be my friend!? hehe I don't think that a friend has to respond to all of your discussions but i certainly try to respond to as many of my friend's discussions as i can, fortunately because i am lucky to have such good friends most of the discussions are interesting to me! I see what you're saying about having friends all over the world, it's nice to hear from people with different cultures etc too!! I will accept some of them, i hate to decline friend requests!! thanks for the response! xxx

Yeah, even i try to reply to as many discussions as possible. But i must admit that i cant spend really long time here in mylot as i am working full-time. Everyone will be having time constraints as well. So my take is that having more friends increases the chance that you get a reply.:)

Good that you don't reject friend requests. That's one thing i don't do as well

You're right it would be a relatively small list if it was only the people who i interact with regularly! I just wonder why people seem to randomly choose me to be friends with when they seem to have no knowledge of my in order to make that decision, it just seems odd to me!! hehe thanks for the response! xxx

I agree that we should all be friendly towards eachother but if i was to be friends with everyone on the site it would be a really really long list of friends and it would take me forever to wade through the discussions my friends have started!! lol xxx

Haha you're nuts!! of course it is me!! If i was gonna choose a picture of someone else, i'd pick someone a bit better than that!! lol I tend not to accept straight away, i look at their profiles and sometimes wait to see if i come across them in any discussions first! thanks for the response!! xxx

It sounds as though we are in the minority from the responses to this discussion so far!! I like to be a bit selective about who i am friends with, if we just accepted and requested everyone here there would be no point in having the friends feature, everyone would just be friends with everyone else anyway!! hehe i don't like denying them though, it makes me feel really mean!! thanks for the response! xxx

I dont mind denying them if I have nothing in common with them.

I don't know why it bothers me, but i do just feel mean!! I have started to do it more often though, as i used to accept them all but had to delete a couple because they just sent really rude private messages and i don't think that's right!!! I think i need to toughen up a bit and be more like you!! xxx

Aw thank you! I don't mind being friends with people here, i like to have lots of friends and am flattered that so many people want to be my friend but a couple of times i have accepted the requests and then had to delete the user as a friend because they have sent inappropriate private messages, i don't like it when that happens and so i've decided to be a bit more selective!! thanks for the response! xxx

You are, but i must be too because i think exactly the same as you! I feel cruel saying no, but what's the point in being friends with someone you have nothing in common with and who seemingly has no interest in you or what you get up to on here! I think it's very odd!! Mine all come from a similar area to you from what i can gather! hehe if i'm honest i feel worse today, bad night's sleep and wanting a big hug from my mum (i turn into a baby when i'm ill!! lol) have started some meds from the doctor though so hopefully there's light at the end of the tunnel at least!! aw, it's lovely of you to ask after me p1ke, i feel all loved and wanted!! hehe has the daughter survived another night alone? bet she's looking forward to a parental visit over the weekend!! xxx

That's what mothers (and fathers) are for Munchkin. To dole out great big hugs and cuddles when you are well and sick. That's why we are off to Hatfield again tomorrow. You have to love your children, even when they are big. There is nobody sicker than me when I am feeling poorly. I am in a class of my own at feeling sorry for myself. I expect cuddles and kisses - not too smothering though. I like to be left alone, except when I don't. My favourite foods and drink should be brought to me and nice magazines - boys mags (not those!! What a mind you have). Computers, fishing etc. Now. I hope that you are tucked up all warm. Got a drink? Good. Stay off the ciggies. I see that we are going to have another day of it. XX

I know, i love my parents, they're gonna be here next week too, can't wait for some parental love!! Am tucked up in bed, my brother has brought me leftover chinese and cheesy magazines as well as a couple of dvds! even got a hug, so am a little bit happier now, if i can't have my parents he's the next best thing!! lol Am getting fairly spoilt to be honest, i'd rather not feel pooey though!! It sounds as though you are as bad as me when you are ill then!! hehe this is the only time that i wish i didn't live alone!! oh well, i'll be on the mend soon i'm sure! i'll leave the off the ciggies, i promise! lol xxxx
