Is it true that all of us can be good singers only if properly trained?

You actually can. someone encouraged me before to have voice lessons. well, not that my voice is that bad, they just want to enhance it! (naks!)... just like other things, practice makes perfect. and it would really be a lot better is someone professional will help you out with this! professional singers need voice lessons, what more those who aren't.

Hi! It's a fact. Remember that music teachers never failed to exist in most schools? They teach their students on how to sing, on how to carry a tune. Ever watched the Pinoy Dream Academy? We see that there were 16 scholars to be teached and guided by at least four faculty members specialized in music, performance arts and humanistic arts and media in their grown as performers.=)

Of course all of us can be great singers if we are properly trained and have great mentors that would teach us starting from the basics to the most complex techniques of training,I actually watch this show that they would pick someone who would be trained by a mentor and then show the participants improvement every week by letting them sing on stage with a lot of crowds.

I dont really know. Some people said my voice is good but when I sing some songs they tell me its kinda out of tune. Though when I sing these certain songs that I really like I can sing them pretty well along with a guitar. Once enrolled in a voice lesson back in the 80's but the teacher discouraged me, saying that there are people who have the ability to sing.. Its called the gifted ones. I replied there are people also who have determination. Singing is an art form, for me you can sing whatever you like. Try listening to punk music and you'll know what I am talking about. Nowadays I sing low while playing my guitar and I have a couple of compositions that really is neat. To that teacher I wonder where she is right now, though this ones for her.......Up yours wherever you are. Lol. Happy mylot. Anyone can sing just do with your heart. The best teacher is you. Only you. they're just there to support you..and destroy you as well.

I don't think it's possible for all but it can make everyone better than they are. I have a decent voice and was told I should get training, but unless I intended to be a solo singer, I did not feel the need. I sang with choruses, choirs, in trios and solo in some regional theater (if the song was right). It may have helped.

But there are people who have no quality to their voice or cannot stay on key, nor even hear it. My cousin is a good example.

The only way to find out is to tape yourself, listen to it and give yourself a true critique. If there is some quality there, then go for training.

Besides, if you love to sing, just do it, even if it's not good. Just let the music in your heart come out!!

It can be possible, yes why not? I would say it is a matter of fine tuning the physiology of your vocal cord. But as always, the outcome will greatly depend on
how much devotion and affection anyone will put into it. So, when above all your physical efforts you will gonna add up your mind and soul then singers can be born out of nowhere in your person.
