Me? Right now, I am starting to panick because I have been on this new med, which is helping me to sleep and all that good stuff, but I have gained a whopping 2 pounds...omg..girls! So how is your diet going?

Sorry that you are gaining a bit of weight, just be careful. One of my daughter's meds made her gain 100 pounds in 2 years. She has been thin all her life, and now she is 100 pounds heavier because that medicine makes her so tired all the time all she wants to do is lay around.

Mind you I can't diet myself never have been able to do, I find that exercise is far better for me because I can eat what I like knowing that I will burn it off at the gym, mind you I do go 5 times a week, cos I am so keen and addicted, but I mostly went to the gym to help my depression which worked and to be happy with my body! If I was with you we'd go to the gym togother and eye up all the talent and give ourselves moral support as well being great for each other;0)

I felt so good last week when I went to exercise with my step mom. I can join the Y here, and they will help me become an instructor, if I choose to. That just pumps me up.

I have been using a paying program that gives me money to use the site for wellness. I just started using the options of recording my food intake and my exercise daily. It is very motivated. Stress I think is the big problem right'now and if and when my son gets a good job maybe I will start to lose again. I need to lose fifty pounds as I am a diabetic and losing weight will makeit a lot easier to control my blood glucose levels.Worrying I suppose adds to the stress but right now its hard not to worry.. I do, however, make almost a religion out of eating sensibly. Do you know that most people do not chew their food properly? Some even gulp air when they are chewing. Not only gross, but very bad for the digestion. Drinking a bit of water throughout the day and especially before meals helps people eat sensibly when they do sit down at the table, though. My advice is to make sleeping well one's first priority and then eat mindfully. Have your ever heard that expression? It means to think about what we eat rather than eating absent-mindedly. Using that philosophy it is OK to sit down and have a piece of cake, but it is not ok to sprawl on the couch and gulp down popcorn while watching a movie.

I try to be mindful too Ann, of what I eat and when, and of course if it is something I know is not the best, I do eat it slowly and not gorge myself and take time to appreciate it yes.
