Would you be willing to donate your loved ones' organ when they die?

I am just surprised that it is not mandatory with all the children and adults dying as they wait with their names on a transplant list. I know it would be a tough decision but I truly believe it is the best way to immortalize your loved ones by allowing another life to live through those who no longer do.

I think I would. Yes, it is what you might call an uncomfortable idea. But at the same time, think about it. There are thousands of people out there who are in need of organs. Many that, if they don't get them, are going to die. As bad as it sounds, we won't need our organs when we pass on. So why not let others who seriously need them have them?

That's why I signed up to be one when I first got my driver's license.

I don't know if I can do that, I have never thought about donating my kids organs to anyone. I can see myself donating whatever I have to help someone but I don't know about my kids. I would donate my husband's organs. When you put it that way it would help someone especially if they needed an organ to live. I guess it would ultimately depend on the way they die and if the doctors ask if there is time to salvage anything. Never gave it much thought.

I would. I my opinion, the body is an empty shell. I figure if there is a person that would die without the organ I would gladly donate it.

It would all depend on my family members wishes. If they say they want their organs donated then I will agree to donate them.

As far as my kids go, if one of them were to die I would agree to donate them. Can't speak for my ex husband though.

I wish all cultures would agree to do this. It is the best gift you could give a dying person.

yes I am..I am an organ donor myself and to be honest my sister had donated my brother's organs when he died...it feels so great to think a love ones organs had saved someone else's life...we always feel so happy like we see him alive with the organ receiver

I dont think so, although I hate to think of someone else suffering and in need, I dont know since my only son, God forbid that anything would happen to him, is my world and I would not want to share him. xoxoox Hugs and good question though.

yes, the idea is totally accepted here. i don't know if i could do that or ot. iknow it's a wonderful thing to do for other people but it would be a hard decision for me to make if it was one of my boys. i guess it wouldn't be my decision anyway it would be their wives.

My family has no problem with it and we've all agreed to donate. Our drivers' licenses state that we are organ donors.

Really, what use is an organ to a dead person? They go to God and leave behind a used-up husk that they no longer need. We figure we can be of some use and bring some joy--after all, what if we needed an organ for one of our loved ones?

First I would like to congretulate you for reaching yet another mile stone of 300.Reagrding donating organs of loved ones, first I should thing about myself. Off-course, my younger son has already donated his eyes, when he was studyiong in class IX. But no doubt, in my country, it is flourishing and many are willing. It is a good gesutre. have a nice time.

Hello mylotting freinds!! I think this is a very difficult subject to tackle because you need to be in the situation to know what actually you will do. I think that in such case I would donate an organ to a person a love at the moment, but as I said before you need to be in the situation. Happy mylotting!!!!
