Las Vegas

I have, but it's been over ten years, so I don't have much input, I'm sorry. I did have a great time when I was there, though. I stayed at New York, New York when it was just opened.

I went to Las Vegas during Christmas in 2006, and it was a great experience.The hotels there are super, and food were soooooo delicious!! However, I lost 50 bucks on the gambling machine.hehe I think if you just want to visit Las Vega, then 3 to 5 days are fairly enough! Happy mylotting!!

Las Vegas is one of my favorite places to visit. If you like a little or a lot of gambling, all kinds of shows, and tourist watching, this is a place that can't be beat!

If you can afford it, stay uptown, at the top of the Strip. There are plenty of hotels there that don't charge an arm and a leg; and you'll be close to a lot of the top entertainment. Also, for a few dollars, you can purchase an underground subway pass, that will take you all over the area..much cheaper than a cab.

Find out ahead of time if any shows you would like to see are out there when you visit. There are lots of ticket sellers that give you good prices on show tickets online. If you are flying, check out the Southwest rates..they are usually among the cheapest fares.

Be mindful of how much money you can comfortably spend on gambling..and stick to a budget! It's easy to get in over your head if you're not paying attention to what you're spending; and never keep gambling to get the money you lost back.

If you have the money for an elegant meal, there are lots of places to go. One of my favorites is The Stratosphere. The restaurant is the highest building in Las Vegas, and the room turns 360 degrees an hour. The food is expensive, but wonderful. There are lots of buffets and restaurants where you can get inexpensive and good meals.

If money is an issue, there are several huge hotel complexes outside the downtown area. I think Sam's Towne is one of the best. You can get a low priced, clean room, good food and free shuttles running regularly to the Strip area.

Don't forget Downtown Las Vegas...that's the old part of the city. Many of the hotels and casinos down there are the originals, from the early days. Lots of colorful history there.
