When hard times hit you, do you ever think of suicide?

I'll just answer the topic question...

No, I don't. I can't even kill another person, what courage do I have for killing me. For me death is not an option, if it is then the word "hope" would not have been invented right? Why choose death if you can live and prove that you can, right?

Suicide is like giving up. And a winner never quits, even if he losses. Because only by loss will you learn. A good analogy is a boxing match. A man who always wins by knock-out at first round and have never suffered a loss will be over confident, and when it's his time to face a punch terrible than his own, he'll fall down in the same fashion as those who fell before him. You'll not learn if you don't try to grasp the experience and just give up.

I understand those who wanted to commit suicide. It's just not my life decision to leave this world without making a single step to change it.

All of us has his/her own problem/s. It's just we treat them in a differnet way or dealing with it is just up to us. There is a saying that "try and try until we succeed." If we fail in the first or second try, try again. We should not loss hope and faith for in the end we're the one who will harvest for it. Rather than committing suicide, we're a total failure if we do that and can never enter to the kingdom of God.
No it never occured in my mind to do that for I have faith and am afraid that I can not go to Heaven. For I believe that in every problem there is always a solution.

Whenever i have problems that i sometimes think are so hard to bear, i dont think of suicide or taking my life. I have never been suicidal and never will be. If i have a problem, i just talk to my friends and try to enjoy myself and do the things i like to do. I also pray to God to give me strength and guide me through my ordeal. I know that all problems get solved in God's time. Let's learn to think more positively and look at these problems as a way for us to be stronger.

I think there is something you need to understand about some people who try to commit suicide. Some have a mental illness and no matter how much you explain to them that you love them or that things will some how get better, when a person is that depressed they can't understand that. When a person is that depressed there is no relaxing or finding fun in life. All there is is the pain, both physically and emotionally. Especially when medication doesn't seem to be helping. The only solution they seem to see is death. I am not making excuses for it, but trying to explain how some feel its the only solution. My depression was so bad that i tried four times to commit suicide, and never succeeded and the only reason i stopped trying is because after four times i figured a higher power was trying to tell me there was a point in me living.
