Hi despompa, you can't help someone until they want it. My brother was a drug addict and he didn't want to be helped. My parents put him in every rehab program you could think of. Nothing worked until he decided he wanted it. We were always the villian. Because people that can't help themselves always need to blame someone else for thier problems. That is the core of their problem. It isn't until then that they can take the blame for their own problems, be it addiction or any other issue. It is hard for us- the people that are standing on the sideline trying to referee-to watch the self destruction and pain. I don't think their brain is even wired to appreciate at this stage in their problem. They have to reach a point that they WANT and can accept help. Until they reach that point all your efforts are in vain. After that they will have remorse for treating you so horribly.

i know how you feel.you give others a willing helpful hand,then at the end you end up being the bad one.Let put it ths way.Do not let them stress you out.You have done your part.You ofered help.If in the end they considered you the bad one,then stop.people like them do not deserve to be treated like that.and you,the loving helpful person you are do not deserve to be treated that way.
if you lend somebody 20$ and never see the person again, it was probably worth it.

there are some people dont care of the other feelings just for their own good. there are people that treated us friend when they have something to get from us but when they think we are useless to them they will ignore us like they never knew us.

i'm sorry for that, despompa.and i have thhis kind of experience too.i try my best to help other people,when the things is gone,the people's passion wan gone,you can't feel any appreciate,even a "thanks". maybe some people disagree me,help just help,you can look forward to appreciate,but "thanks" is so easy.it's just a word.it makes us feel worth helping others.isn't it?

If a person helps somebody with intention to get some return and if return is not visible, obiously one will bad. Why at all one should expect somthing from that person. If you do not expecta nything, you will be very happuy. just try this way. Let them come to conclusion. If they need help, person giving help should bargain and get satisfied. Have a nice time.
