Is contentment the real gauge for success?

contentment in life and dont asking or find which is not in their may lead us to success for we have to think positively.

I think what they really meant is that to be successful-one has to be realistic in their abilities and accept that fact first before challenging one's abilities and goals. If we are so contented with our lives, we may become complacent and choose not to improve ourselves at all! That would be a disaster.

I think that contentment with what you have is only a part of being successful. If you are content with achieving the goals you set for yourself and those goals challenged your talents and skills, then I would say you have been successful. But if you stop there without furthering yourself, then you begin to fail.

My grandmother used to tell me that the day one stopped learning, that's the day they 'died'. So I think that the day one stops trying to improve onself, stops setting new goals, they cease being successful.

Being successful is only the end of one stage of life and the beginning on a new stage with new goals.

i believe that finding something that brings you the most happiness. and yes also contentment is the true meaning of success for my self at least

for me yes--theres really no other way to measure success but contentment.

for me success can also be a state of mind--like when you have a family--if you are contented and happy with your family you can say you are a successful family man/woman

but what can you say about people who has it all but still feel something is lacking or wants to have more? lets face it some people cant be content even if they have enough money --sad coz they will never be contented
