Cooking Hot Dog?

Umm...I thought you had to cook them....And yes it might dodamage to your body....But i dont know

Even though they are precooked, they are supposed to be heated to 160 degrees before eating them. Looking around on the internet I think many people do eat them straight out of the package but it isn't recommended. See http://www.hot-dog.org. .

And the quickest way to keep them good is to place the hotdog in a bun, and then wrap the bun and hotdog in a paper towel, place in the mircowave and nuke for about 30 seconds. Enjoy!

I dont think it is harmful becuase myself and my family have always eaten them cold. My BFF's sister (who is a pediatrician) feeds them to her daughter uncooked. I think if they were harmful, she wouldnt do that. Dont you think so? They are good though if you wrap them in a corn tortilla then fry them. and dip em in ketchup. Well thats just my opinion.

They will do you no oharm as they are already cooked befor they are packaged, the cooking instructions are only guidelines.. enjoy

i always boile them before eating them..and if you have a grill..even better..hot dogs on grill..mmmm..very good..however..i don`t think eating them cold is harmful to your body

Heating them to 160 degrees is aimed at killing any germs or bacteria that may have formed over time. These form because sometimes the hot dogs are not stored at the correct temperature for extended periods (for whatever reason) and thus they form on the dogs. The cooking process is meant to kills the bacteria. So eating them straight out of the fridge can be dangerous. Just because you have not gotten sick up till now does not make eating it without cooking any safer.

I don't think they can harm you. I give to my kids cold. They like them cold. Let me know if you find out.

I don't think it is really harmful to your body. I used to eat them cold when I was younger, but now I just throw them on the George Foreman Grill for a minute or two.

I would think a cold hotdog would be as harmful to you as cold pizza would be. As long as it was precooked I would say everything is okey dokey. If you haven't gotten sick yet .. I wouldn't worry about it.
