Which Lord of the Rings movie was the best?

hello people the best movie of them all must be the return of the king it captures your heart and puts it into action it is the best movie of the trilogys please watch it if you havent watched it yet

I really loved all the movies, Return of the King is great because you get to see the culmination of Frodo getting to Mt. Doom, and the defeat of Saurn's forces. I love seeing how all the characters have gown and changed. Sean Astin was amazing as Samwise Gamgee, his performance was so moving.
But I think that my favorite might actually be the first movie, "Fellowship of the Ring", I really like the call to adventure feel of the first movie. You get to see the shire, so you have a good idea of what is motivating Frodo and the other hobbits to fight (I love the Shire music), and the forming of the fellowship is the basis and metaphor for much of the story. Plus, the battle in Moria with Gandalf and the Balrog is amazing. Peter Jackson is a genius.

the two towers is the best

It's so hard to decide! I love all three movies. In fact, I'm a big, no, HUGE fan of LOTR trilogy. The movies aren't as good as the books, but I still love them because they quite live up to Tolkien's works. Peter Jackson did a great job in directing the films. He made an effort to understand the plot, storyline, the characters and many minor details most other directors would take for granted. That's the attraction of LOTR trilogy movies - they pay attention to details.

I like the Fellowship, partly for the nice, homely feelings I get during the Shire scenes. The battle in Moria is inspiring too. Two Towers is great, I love the elves' valour in helping Men defend against the hordes of Uruk Hai. But in the books, this didn't even happen. lol ah well, who cares anyway. I think Return of the King has a much more significant part in the trilogy, due to the fact that the last war is in the movie and the revealing of who Aragorn truly is.

Two thumbs up for the trilogy! And long live the trilogy!

Oh! it's so hard to decide i love all the three movies. I had watched it many times my favorite is the Return of the King because Aragorn is so drop dead gorgeous handsome! Anyway this third movie is the finale its about the story that makes it different from the Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers.It is about Aragorn's answer to the call of his heritage and become what he was born to be and thier hopes rest with Frodo, a tiny but determined hobbit making a perilous trip across treacherous enemy lands to cast the One Ring into the fires of Mount Doom. The closer Frodo gets to his final destination, the heavier his burden becomes and the more he must rely on Samwise Gamgee. Gollum--and the Ring itself--will test Frodo's allegiances and, ultimately, his humanity.It is about loyalty and friendship and courage to fight evil above all else.

I looked at the trilogy as one whole movie, it's continuous anyway.. But when you mean to say a part of the movie, probably where Legolas keep on showing up.. lol But seriously, I like the whole movie itself because it's just one story divided into 3 parts but I loved the part where Legolas killed that huge elephant..:) I forgot what part that is, it would be the 2nd or 3rd I guess..

I love all of them and can recite all of them from start to finish, but I would have to say the first one. It is just amazing. I have seen it 227 times It's great

the last movie for me was the best, but the others were also good but i think we are always expecting the final so return of the king was a great movie specially the part about war and the love of arwen and aragorn!

I also enjoyed all of them very much. Though The Fellowship of the Ring blew me away when it started in the theater years ago.
