the issues of long distance relationships

most probably miscommunication is the cause. And sometimes, a little bit of misunderstanding about a very very simple thing can create so much trouble for both. However, if the relationship can go on, it will most probably become a very very strong one. You can imagine, even without seeing each other, you can stand all the problems.

I am in a long distance relationship. It's been lasting for two years now but we're starting to have problems due to the fact that we live 4 hours away from each other. In the past we used to meet in a city which could be easily reached by both, then he started to visit me and spend a week at my place. This would happen more or less every month, so it means we would spend an entire week together every month. However, I have a small house and there's already five of us in it so a sixth person could make things hard. We'd sleep in the same single bed (or better he did sleep, I never closed my eyes) and so on. Now we don't meet at my place anymore and we haven't seen each other for five months. I seem to be the only one to see problems. There's another 3 years before I AM done with University, he's still at the very beginning. How can this situation go on? I don't know and he makes things easier than they are.

Why not work? Long distance relationship is for long distance love and affair, not for marriage or making family with him/her it is just a hobby and fun and it lasts until you wish and it break if you like to end having a hubby or wife.

Not yet but soon. My bf is a seaman & he is working on his papers. His US Visa has been approved anytime he would be leaving. I still don't know what will happen to us but I'm definitely sure we will survive this situation. Love, patience, broadmindedness and trust is the best key to handle this kind of situation. Yes, its really hard to trust but I'm trying my best. Its up to us if our relationship will last or not. Its either we give up or we stand strong and committed.

I would say you should maintain constant communication with each other to be able to maintain the feeling. It would be very difficult arrangement but it is possible to have that kind of arrangement. I have seen so many like that although there are many temptations that lurks around that but as I said with constant contact you loved for each other might be maintained and sustained for a long period of time.
