Should Gandhiji have been awarded Nobl Prize?

Absolutely no doubt about it, even to ask th Q that should Gandhiji desrved a nobl prize, raise a question mark about the sincerity of the questioner (plz dnt tke it otherwise). Gandhiji was the other name of peace, he simply symbolizes peace, harmony, tranquility ...all the best of bests humane qualities.

Look, people who followed his foot step dilligently (his proteges) like Marthin Luthar King, Nelson Mandella, even Dalai Lama are nobl laureates....& their master/guru was not even considered. Man, I doubt the credibilty of this Alfred nobel trust. If Gandhiji dint desrv it then nobody do so. .. today if you make a list of great souls, who advocated peace and humanity, from the begining of known human history, Gandhiji will find his place in the first slot very very easily...tell me what is the credential of this Alfred Nobel trust or committee or whatever?

Ok somebody will tell that while his name was being cnsidered, he died most unfortunately and nobel prize is not awarded posthumously. Man Gandhiji came to lime light with full vigour and sparkle about 30 years before his death. What was nobel committee doing during that period? Was it under influence of Churchill or some body else....?

I guess this whole episode is a big big irony in our modern history, in fact it should be cnsidered a scam, & nobel committee should come out wth all th facts and they should issue a public apology to the people of india and the followers of Gandhiji all over the world.

Yes,he should have been awarded a nobel prize for peace.
But wonder whether he would have accepted it before India's Independence. He died soon after India obtained freedom.
But who considers a nobel price in peace as to be the basis of any glory.Its not the award but the work done to make the world a better place that is remembered.
Gandhi's legacy lives on around the world.
