I’ve heard many people refer to Braunschweiger as “liver sausage” and also “liverwurst”. Actually they are not the same thing. I’ve learned that Braunschweiger is very similar to liverwurst but liverwurst is more “pure” liver sausage where Brauschweiger often contains dairy products and is spreadable.

cjsmom (950)	2 years ago I love all sorts of liver, that I know of (now that is)...Do you have any recipes on how to cook certain ones that you like, as I'm not sure of the best way. I cooked liver and onions once and it turned out fantastic but I can't remember how I did it; how long to cook, etc.
