A nice try to figure the real look of da Vinci! "The only authentic image of Leonardo is the profile drawing by a pupil at Windsor. The famous Turin image of the bearded man is c.1497. The Verrocchio David is not a secure starting point. Leonardo, for a number of reasons, was disincliined towards self-portrait. He believed that the tendency of every painter to paint himself was a vice. Take out, from the final 3, the Turin drawing and the Vitruvian Man (a stock Roman-style face), and the Musician (a portrait of someone else), and you have the real answer."
