The Godfather is a 1972 film adaptation of the novel of the same name, written by Mario Puzo, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring Marlon Brando. The film's story spans ten years from late 1945 to 1955. It is currently ranked as third best American film in history by the American Film Institute and as the greatest film of all time by the Internet Movie Database with a 9.1/10 rating. It is also the number one movie in Metacritcs top 100. | |
