Bella with her fella These are my first set of Cairn Terriers, Biscuit and Bella. We hope to breed and have puppies sometime in early 2009. Their name is chosen for their ability to roust vermin from the "carins" or small opens in stone grave markers and rock piles commonly found on Scottish farmland. The Cairn was bred over for their working ability over 200 years ago on the Isle of Sky and the Scottish Highlands. They most resemble the original Highland Terrier and is the stock from which the Westie, Skye and Scottie came. These little independent bundles of energy are smart and adampt well to new environments. In addition to indepence they are curious, fearless and bold. They are easily trained and like to do tricks. They are naturally patient with children and playful nature makes them an ideal pet for families with small children.
