 | Silent Hill: Origins | In early December 2007, fairly reliable rumors began circulating about Origins getting a port to the PlayStation 2 console. Early reports indicated that Konami was looking to release the title on the PS2 for a wider audience, and that the game would see release in March 2008. The project was discovered via a leaked fact sheet which indicated that Climax would once again be involved in development for the console version. The official Climax website confirmed they were working on an unannounced title for Konami, but as of December 15, 2007, the publisher had not yet confirmed if this project was the PS2 port, another Silent Hill-related project, or something different.
In early January 2008, online retailer Amazon.com began taking pre-orders for a PS2 port of Origins, though Konami and Climax had yet to make an official confirmation of the project at that time.
On January 22, 2008, IGN reported that Konami had officially confirmed that a PS2 port was currently in development.
"Origins" for the PS2 was ported by Climax and released nationwide in the United States on March 5th, 2008; while the European release followed on May 15th, 2008

 | PlayStation 2 Graphics | Just a look at how powerful the PlayStation 2 graphics engine is. The 3-d Model shown in the picture is exactly what looks in the PlayStation 2 Console. The PS 2 Console is a gaming console released and developed by Sony Computer Entertainment.
It has powerful graphics rendering capacity with its inbuilt EMOTIONS Engine. The engine is capable of displaying High Quality 3-Dimensional images just like the one shown in the photo. This console was very popular and still many people are craving to get their hands on it.
It was released in the year 2001, and it used the revolutionary media called DVD as it's Removable Media to play games. An additional 8 MB Memory Stick Pro Duo card was required to save the game data. In 2004, Sony released the Slim Line of Play Station 2 which was comparatively a lot slimmer and better. It also had a little hardware changes.
Network Play is available in both the versions, the only difference being that you will need an adapter in the earlier consoles, while the Slim Line consoles are network-ready.
After the release of PlayStation 3, the prices of the PS2 experienced dramatic fall. It has become a lot cheaper nowadays, and Sony has closed it's manufacturing. People earn a lot of money by opening Gaming Cafes after buying the cheap PS 2. | |
